You’ll eventually find yourself going through a camp amidst some pillars, down a set of winding stairs, and at abank-side camp overrun with nether-rats.

How To Reach The Elder Brain

As you step off the skiff,follow the pathuntil you spy an intellect devourer. Thisintellect devourer will lead you closer to the brainand, by extension, an enemy trap.

After crossing a tree bridge, you’ll reach an area with several steaming pools of caustic brine. In this area,several intellect devourers will attack you.

Among the intellect devourers, you’ll also encounter larger, green brains known asintellect gluttons.These enemiesexplode with caustic acidfor high numbers of damage.

How To Defeat The Elder Brain

It is actuallyimpossible to dominate the Elder Brainduring your first encounter with it at the caustic brine lake. Thefinal check is set at DC99.

If, bychance, you manage a critical success(natural 20) on this roll, you will still not be able to dominate it. However, there will be a10 percent decrease to its total healthduring the final battle.
