While you can purchase several weapons from merchants, the finest ones often come from solving puzzles, defeating bosses, or crafting with specific NPCs.

One such hidden weapon is the Rune Pistol. It’s exclusively craftable from Nimue using a special material. However, in order to get this material, there is a series of steps before you get your hands on it and craft the weapon.
How To Get The Rune Pistol
To begin, you should start atLosomnfor these steps to happen.
Your first task is to locate a place known as theGreat Hall. This can be found usingone of the golden magical doors, which appear randomly.
The Great Hall ismore likely to spawn during the Asylum storyline(Morrow Parish).
However, there is also a possibility for it to spawn during The One True King Storyline (the Palace Courtyard).
Once you’ve found the Great Hall, thoroughly explore it until you discover a room that looks like a kitchen. Here you can find theQuest Item called the Ravenous Medallion.
This medallion can unlock a large door that grants access to theFeast Event. However, wewill not be doing that, so hold on to this item for now.
Following along the Asylum storyline, you’ll reach thesanatorium. Your objective here is to find theAsylum Third Floor Key. This key will open a locked door on the third floor.
After that, progress normally until you obtain theSoulkey Tribute.
These steps above are the main way to complete the Asylum storyline andface the Nightweaver boss, so you won’t miss any of it.
When you use the Soulkey Tribute within thecluster of webs found in the basement of the Asylum, you will be transported to theTormented Asylum.
Inside the Tormented Asylum, you’ll come across theNightweaver’s Webin the first room to your left.
Upon interacting with the Nightweaver’s Web, you have the option toexchange the Ravenous Medallion for the Decrepit Rune.
Here, you have a chance toget the Dreamcatcherif you obtained theNightweaver Stone Doll.
Now simplyhead back to Nimue, and with the Decrepit Rune, you can craft theRune Pistol.
Inside the Great Hall, you might encounter different events apart from the Feast Event, such asThe Statues EventorThe Flames Event.
Rune Pistol Overview
The Rune Pistol is a precise semi-automatic Handgun designed for quick firing using small bullets.It works best for short to medium range encounters.
Its special weapon Mod,Soul Brand,applies the Soul Brand effect to all foes within a 25-meter range, lasting for 25 seconds.
When you defeat an enemy under this effect, itleaves behind an Echo that lingers for ten seconds.
These Echoes are attracted to any survivor who comes within three meters, providing them with 20 percent of their maximum health upon contact.
