If you’ve playedHonkai: Star Railfor a while, you’re probably already aware of the Gacha system in the game. A new limited-character banner is revealed every three weeks, and you can’t get these characters anywhere else. Kafka is one of the most anticipated limited characters because of her personality in the story.

She’s released as a playable character in the second phase of the version 1.2 update, and you’ll have to go all over the different planets of the game if you want to farm the required Ascension and Trace materials to make your Kafka strong.

Kafka Ascension Materials
Characters in Honkai: Star Rail can be upgraded up to level 80, but you’ll have to Ascend them a bunch of timessince the maximum level is capped at a certain Ascension. To Ascend Kafka, you’ll require the following materials:

All the materials mentioned above are the requirementssolely to ascend Kafka after your level gets capped.
You’ll still have to farm character EXP materials and Credits to level them up separately.
If you’ve just started playing the game, you’ll also have toreach Trailblaze Level 60 andraise your Equilibrium levelto unlock the final Ascension. Unlike other characters, you have to upgrade Kafka to level 80 since you need as much ATK Percent and Break Effect as you’re able to get. Thankfully, she doesn’t need to build Crit.
The mob drops for Kafka can be acquired from thevarious Antimatter Legion enemiesfound in the Herta Space Station.Some of them can also be found in the final areas of the Xianzhou Luofu. The required Stagnant Shadow for the world boss drops can be found in the Stargazer Navalia area.
Kafka Trace Materials
When you head over to the Traces section for Kafka, you’ll find a bunch of nodes that have different unlock requirements.The main nodes belong to her Basic Attack, Skill, Ultimate, and Talent. Here are all the items you’ll need to upgrade these:

If you want to upgrade Kafka’s Skill, Ultimate, And Talent, you’llrequire thrice the number of items mentioned above.
You’ll need some more materials to unlock Bonus Abilities and other stat nodes once you reach the required level. All of these will benecessary for Kafka since she needs as much ATK as possible.
