Exploration and resource harvesting can be a big part ofStarfield, and doubly so if you intend to spend a lot of time building your own items and researching all there is to research. You’ll need a lot of resources pulled from many of the game’s hundreds of planets and moons.

Titanium is quite a rare resource, only present on a handful of space rocks, and is used in some important research recipes, including Outpost Defenses and a large number of gun mods. While it’s possible to buy the stuff from shopkeepers, you’ll need to head out into the final frontier yourself if you want a great amount of it.
Where To Find Titanium
As a natural resource, you’ll need to go planet-hopping to find good sources ofTitanium. There are41 planets and moonsthroughout the galaxy that have deposits of Titanium on them.
You can alsopurchase Titanium from some shopkeepersthroughout the galaxy. Good places to look are Jemison Mercantile in New Atlantis on Jemison and the Mining League on Neon.

Harvesting Titanium
To harvest the rare metal yourself, you’ll have to head to one of the planets or moons that have it. The following are easily reached at the beginning of the game and shouldn’t have too many hazards:

After landing on a planet that has Titanium, you simply need toexplore the surface looking for deposits. As with other metals, these will be small rocky structures that you must harvest with aCutter.

Use yourScannertoidentify rocks from afar- you’ll be able to tell whether or not a harvestable mineral is Titanium from quite a distance.
These planets will also have large deposits of Titaniumhidden underground. These can only be accessed through the use ofExtractors, which can only be built near Outposts, so you’ll need to first build an Outpost near your desired mining area.
you’re able to use your Scanner to find these underground deposits, too - you’ll be able to tell where they are by the colouration of the ground - the surface above a Titanium deposit will be a steely grey colour.
Of course, to make an Extractor work, you’ll need to construct apower source- make sure you havethe right recipes unlockedand the right materials handy. Using an extractor, you can get a large amount of Titanium with relatively little effort.
