During your time playingLies Of P, you’ll encounter a lot of items to collect, such as weapons, consumables, and even collectibles. Sometimes, It’s not always clear what to do with these items, but if you examine their descriptions closely, you might uncover a few hints about their origins or purpose.

In certain cases, some of these items are meant to be used with specific NPCs, adding an extra layer of complexity as you’ll need to locate the right NPC to use the item with. This is exactly the case for the Faded Whistle.
Where To Find The Faded Whistle
The first you need to do islocate Toma in Elysion Boulevard.
If you reach theInside the House on Elysion Boulevard Stargazer, then you’re close.
From this point, you can choose to also pursue theWeeping Woman side quest.
From here, simplyfollow the main road to the right outside the Stargazer roomuntil you seea ladder on the right side.
Next, descend the ladder to street level, and in front of you,you’ll hear some dialogue coming from a lit window; that’s where you can interact with Toma.
Toma is an infected boy who misses his friend Murphy, and what you need to do islocate a specific whistlethat was used to call friends.
Continue along the main progression path until you encounter theScrapped Watchman boss fight.
After defeating the boss, you’ll come acrossa bench adorned with lit candles and a “FRIENDS” sign on the left side of the arena.
Here, you can pick up theFaded Whistle item.
How To Use The Faded Whistle
The Faded Whistle isconsidered to be a collectible, not a regular item, which might confuse some on how to use it, but first, you want to make your way back to Toma.
Once you’re in front of his window, instead of talking to him,open your menu and go to the Collectible section.
When you hover over the Faded Whistle,you’ll find an option to use it.
After using it,Toma will think that P is Murphy, even though it’s not true. Nonetheless, it brings some happiness to the sick boy’s heart.
This will conclude Toma’s side quest and you will get aRadiant Ergo Fragmentas a reward.
