Although there’s already a ton of variation in the combat ofSilent Hope, the nine hero skills that each of your seven heroes can use make for quite a few awesome build combinations per hero. Each expedition through the Abyss can be different from the last if you rearrange your heroes’ skill trees before you go.
But, if you’re interested in outright strength and finesse to help you get through those longer treks, we’ve broken down the best hero skill for each hero in Silent Hope. Whether a booster skill or an outright combat attack, each hero has something powerful.

Wanderer: Shield Tackle
There’s never anything wrong with going for the all-around good choice, and the Wanderer is a great example of that with his sword and shield-based attacks. He becomes his most powerful, though, when using his hero skills, and his Shield Tackle ability is definitely his best.
Not only is it already unlocked inthe Wanderer class, but once you begin to upgrade the skill, it becomes particularly lethal. On the odd chance you don’t slay a monster with Shield Tackle, you disperse and stun any you hit with the attack, leaving them open for a powerful follow-up.

Archer: Rapid Fire
Another skill that’s already unlocked by default when you can begin using skills in Silent Hope, the Archer’s Rapid Fire hero skill is particularly powerful right off the bat. They fire a stream of three arrows in a straight line, and these arrows continue to travel should they slay the first monster they hit. Or, if they’re all meant for one monster, three shots in a row do atonof damage.
Once you’ve begun to level the skill, you’ll eventually shoot five arrows instead of the starter three, and with much more force to boot. The skill becomes pretty lethal once you reach its max power, so put your skill points into Rapid Fire early!

Farmer: Birdie Buddies!
The Farmer is definitely not your strongest outright combatant in Silent Hope, with lower stats than her pals making her something of an easy target. However, her skills are among the more unique, and though it doesn’t unlock until she becomes a Ranger at Level 15, Birdie Buddies! is worth the wait.
Casting Birdie Buddies! sees the Farmer calling on three birds, and while they spawn around your tiny hero, they’ll spread out and begin to attack the monsters around you. Not only does this help the Farmer keep a safer distance between herself and monsters, but it frees up your hands to fight others should you choose to power up this powderpuff.

Fighter: Hurricane Punch
Yet another skill that unfortunately doesn’t unlock until your Fighter reaches Level 15 and can become a Battle Master, Hurricane Punch is an aptly-named melee move that sees your Fighter kicking ass and taking names. The attack deals blunt damage – quite a lot of it, too – as the Fighter twirls through the level a bit to pick up some force.
One of the better perks of this hero skill is that the Fighter can hit multiple monsters with Hurricane Punch at once. Any foe swept up in the gust she creates as she spins is liable to take damage, so use this move in a group to lay the smackdown to several foes at once.

Caster: Black Hole
Though having the distance from the monsters is always great, the Caster may take a bit of tinkering to use effectively. He doesn’t output a ton of damage on his own, and he relies on his spells and his quickness to make it throughlayer after layer of the Abyss.
And it can be made a bit easier with Black Hole, a skill he learns early on still in the Caster class. This defensive skill hurls a ball of purple energy a ways away from the Caster himself, and it draws all nearby enemies into its force. They take additional damage while they’re in there, so lock foes in a Black Hole and use the time to lob your heavy-hitting spells at them.

Rogue: Sneak Attack
Though unfortunately, you’ll need to wait until she can fight in the Trickster class to unlock Sneak Attack, the Rogue has access to some particularly mystical moves that see her slashing her way through enemies like they were hardly there. One of the easiestandmost powerful ways to do this is with Sneak Attack.
Using this hero skill allows the Rogue to “close the distance” between herself and a foe to land a critical hit, and by that, it means you may teleport through to behind them and deal a wild amount of damage before they can even turn around to counter you. At higher levels, Sneak Attack recharges instantly if the damage is fatal, making it easy to chain together and slay enemies with ease.

Warrior: Whirlpool
When she isn’t busy making sure all the other heroes are hitting as hard as they can byupgrading items at the Forge, the Warrior is off kicking ass with her broadsword skills in the Abyss. And since she takes a second to swing her heavy weapon, you may want to buy yourself some time. Whirlpool unlocks once you reach Paladin class, and it does just that, by stunning enemies in a circle around her and stunning them in the process.
Using this skill when surrounded by enemies is a great way to give the otherwise slow Warrior a second to attempt to escape the mob, so you can regroup for your next attack. If you’re feeling brave, you can even stick around and exploit them being stunned to deliver some truly colossal hits.
