With seven heroes to choose from as you battle your way into the depths of the Abyss inSilent Hope, picking favorites is a blessing and a curse. On one hand, you’ll want as many powerful heroes as you can get, but on the other hand, with seven combat styles, you’ll definitely have a few top picks.

Whether you’re judging by their stats before you tweak them with accessories, their bevy of hero skills to choose from as you unlock progressively better classes for each hero, or their own innate fighting style, here are our favorite heroes in Silent Hope.

the farmer at work in the fields silent hope characters

7The Farmer

Don’t get us wrong – the Farmer is easily one of the most adorable heroes in Silent Hope, and if that were the nature of this list, she’d be much higher toward the top. But with unhelpfully low stats and not too many damage-dealing skills to fall back on, the Farmer can be a bit of a challenge to use.

Once you have the hang of the game, it’s much easier to start building her up, but her moderate stat spread isn’t anything special. In the earliest hours of the game, it’s definitely best to leave this tiny cutie back up on the surface with her crops.

6The Fighter

While her flying fists of melee might can indeed become quite powerful with enough of a push through grinding and training, the Fighter is tragically easy to leave behind. She fights monsters in the Abyss with her fists, which requires pretty close combat for someone without too many remarkable stats.

Her power is quite high, but her low defense and evasion stats make it tough to tactfully get close enough to enemies to hit them without getting hit herself.Using fully upgraded weaponsand accessories can definitely help, but the Fighter may take just as many lumps asshedishesout.

5The Caster

While the Caster’s ranged attacks make him a fairly strong contender for levels you need to rush through, especially when combined with his penchant for magic and ability to teleport as his dodge, you’ll need to know how to work him to make him work. Even in hismore evolved classes, the Caster’s stats are truly not the best.

The strongest thing he can speak to is his broad list of skills, which features a bit of something for everyone. His spells are intriguing without a doubt, but you’ll need a bit of finesse to make the Caster do the max amount of damage.

the archer in the abyss silent hope best hero

4The Archer

While they do tend to be the more physically powerful of the ranged fighters in Silent Hope, the Archer needs a couple levels to warm up before they really get good. Their initial damage output, and the damage they do with their bows alone, doesn’t amount to much, but their skills set them a cut above the rest.

With the highest number of ranged skills to unlock of any of the seven heroes, the Archer is easy to customize to any playstyle. They have access to fierce one-to-one attacks, traps, bombs, and more, allowing you to really choose your damage types.

the wanderer on the start screen silent hope best character

3The Wanderer

The most reliable and equally built of the group, the Wanderer is a sword and shield-wielding fighter whose fierce spin attacks and volatile swordplay come in handy just when you need him most. Whether you’re trying to dodge-slash the monsters in the Abyss or boost your own stats, the Wanderer likely has a skill you can use.

While he doesn’t rise clearly above the other heroes in terms of his stats, being well-rounded isn’t necessarily a bad thing. He’s easy to fall back on when you need a strong, steady fighter.

warrior in the introduction silent hope characters

2The Warrior

If tank builds with critically high offense in exchange for merely mediocre defense and evasion stats are your thing in isometric RPGs like Silent Hope, then the Warrior will definitely be your gal. Entering the Abyss with her two-handed sword, while she does take a second to actually land her attacks, when she does, they hit with the force of a cannon.

Be sure to equip her with items that can help boost her defense, though, as too many heavy hits can send her back to the surface fairly quickly. Thankfully, she’s got the biggest HP pool of any of the seven Silent Hope heroes, so there’s plenty of wiggle room.

the rogue about to battle crooked crab silent hope characters

1The Rogue

There’s no other hero quite as fast, stealthy, and nimble as the Rogue, even in her basest state before reaching even quicker higher classes. Though she does have lowered defense, it’ll seldom be a problem for the Rogue – monsters can only hit her if they can catch her.

Between her innate speed, slashing dual blades, and repertoire of moves that allow her to expand on her abilities to teleport through monsters doing damage on the way, the Rogue makes a great choice for the Monster Rush battles and any floor you’re rushing through due to her speed, stealth, and strength.
